Is it Time to Start Thinking About New Year’s Resolutions for 2015?
I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking it’s not even Christmas yet and I’m already talking about New Year’s Resolutions for 2015!
Well I kind of agree with you because I can’t stand when I go into a store looking for Halloween decorations or candy and it’s already all Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations. But this is different! It’s never to early to start thinking about resolutions you’d like to make for the new year.
One of the biggest resolutions people have each year is to get their finances in order. Figure out your budget, earn more money, figure out where your money is going, set a budget goal or track your spending. Whatever it is you’re trying to achieve, people always set resolutions and goals around money.
I recently read a quote somewhere that said something to the effect of: why wait til the new year to begin your resolution, by waiting you’re already making excuses and delaying or putting off your goal and you’re setting yourself up for failure from the very beginning. In other words if you want to do something, just start now!
I’ll do a more comprehensive post on popular resolutions and give some more hints and tips on how to keep your resolutions, but for now I just wanted to put the bug in your ear to start thinking about it. And honestly I wanted another excuse to put in a plug for my 2015 Personal Budget Planner Book because one of my resolutions is to try to keep up with one of my ideas and try to see it through (ie. this blog and everything that goes with it including the book and some new workbook ideas I have in store for 2015.)
So for now Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happpy Kwanzaa, and anything else you might celebrate. I’ll be back with more New Years talk but I’ll let you digest your holidays first!
