Welcome to the Home, Life, Organized Blog
Welcome to my blog. I plan to make this blog cover quite a few different areas of home life, work life, organization, and just generally trying to juggle everything while keeping your money straight, your budget in line, having an organized home, and a work life balance that makes it all possible. Sounds like a lot and I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, so I’ll start slow and a little more targeted, but hopefully this will grow over time.
So let me start by telling you a little bit about myself, like any good conversation should start, right? I am Jason Bazinet, a happily married husband to my wife Keri and a father to my amazing sons Reid and Owen. I work full time and enjoy the fact that when I go home I get to spend time with my family.
I try to keep up with finding good deals and couponing despite the fact that I have to tell my wife I often visit moneysavingmom.com, a very useful but not so masculine sounding site. I also try to find good healthy but convenient meals to cook, which can get difficult when we are all so busy, and am currently on a healthy kick, so I tend to go to skinnytaste.com a lot for ideas these days.
I hope to merge those two ideas together, couponing and cooking, so you can plan recipes around what’s on sale and what you have coupons for. It makes sense to me because it all encompasses being budget conscious and organized about what you’re buying and making.
I also hope that building this blog will help me get better at budgeting, organization, couponing and finding deals, and I hope it helps you too.
As I develop the site I’ll tell you some ways that I have saved, how I’ve cut the cable cord and what I think of it (and what my wife thinks of it too), how we’ve scaled back to a one car household, and all the other ways we’ve organized our lives without feeling like we’ve deprived ourselves of anything.
I hope you follow along and feel free to comment on posts or email me with any questions or things you’d like to see on the blog.
Hi, thats great. I want my husband and I to save as well. There is no savings at the moment, but what family plan is with Metro PCS? Our tmobile bill at the moment is 216.78…uhhh…I like your blogs and coupons.
thanks
Thanks for the comment. MetroPCS had a “save $5 on each line” deal when we signed up, so we pay $90 a month total for two smartphone plans with unlimited text, talk, and web.
Nice to have a guys point of view in these areas! I hope it goes well for you. Thanks!
